Business Objectives and Goals:

The Vision Team in Austin, TX was flown out to PayPal HQ for an intensive 4-day brainstorm to concept and storyboard ideas for the Shopping Showcase that was displayed in New York. The Shopping Showcase featured the future of PayPal and showed users how they were revolutionizing the industry in more ways than just payment processing.

1. Develop storylines for Shopping Showcase
2. Storyboard finaized storylines and prep for final production

Toy Store Vignette:

This storyline focuses on a user (Sharon) shopping on eBay from the comfort of home on their tablet. The user flow shows ebay’s new UI and artificial intelligence and features smart TV integration.

Use Case: Customer Perspective

Sharon receives a push notification letting her know that her order is ready. After arriving at the store to pick up her order, she checks in through the PayPal app. This then notifies the store that Sharon has arrived for her items.

Use Case: Store POS

While Sharon is at the counter picking up her items, the POS suggests some add on items that are in stock at that store. Sharon opts to get the additional items and is able to charge it to her PayPal account with the touch of a button.

Use Case: Customer Perspective

After charging her PayPal account for the additional items, Sharon receives a push notification confirming that the payment was successful. She then is able to view the receipt for the additional items and additionally access receipts for the previous items purchased through the PayPal app.

Involvement:

The vignette storylines and concepts were created as part of a group effort. Individual contribution includes flow generation, wireframe creation, UI design and presentation.
